A focused newsletter on France's presidential election, for people following it in English, until 2 May 2027
Weekly
Once a week, from the field taking shape to the run-off on 2 May 2027: the recognised pollsters' latest numbers, who is in or out of the race, what the Constitutional Council has ruled on how the campaign is run, and what is coming up before the next issue. Written for an English-language reader following from outside France.
Not party press releases repeated without checking, not personality pieces about a candidate's private life, not op-eds arguing for one candidate, not unverified claims about a candidate not on an official list.
Where the news comes from: Conseil constitutionnel, news, The Elysee, official statements, Ipsos France, polling, Ifop, polling, France 24, election tag, RFI, election tag, France Televisions Info, politics.
