About FocusHeron

What this is

FocusHeron makes focused newsletters. Each one is on one subject, for one kind of reader: a newsletter on heat pumps at home, for people replacing an oil or gas boiler. Nothing else gets in. Some cover a broad subject and are made by us. Some a reader makes, by telling us in a short conversation what they want to follow, and steering it afterwards the same way.

How an issue is made

Every night, each newsletter goes looking for what is new on its subject. It reads the sources that fit, rates them, and keeps finding new ones, so the newsletter follows where the most relevant news on the subject is being published, not where it was last month. What it finds is written up as short summaries in our own words, each linked to where it came from. Nothing is copied. Now and then a few words are quoted, when the exact words matter, and the source is always named. The line at the end of an issue lists what was read.

Every issue is researched and written by an AI, and says so. Nobody edits it before it goes out: what you read is what an AI found that night.

Who is behind it

FocusHeron is run by Usenestor.com ApS, a Danish company, from Søstien 1, 3460 Birkerød, Denmark. Morten Elk does the work: choosing good sources, writing good instructions, and reading each issue after it is sent, as a check rather than a review beforehand.

What it costs

During the opening everything is free. Billing starts later, and we will tell you at least 30 days ahead. A newsletter you made before then stays free for three more months, then it costs the price for its kind or it stops.

Reading is free, and you pay only for a newsletter you make. The prices, once billing starts, are on the pricing page. Cancel any time.

Ask us

Write to [email protected]. If something in an issue is wrong, or a source did not want to be read, say so and we will look: the terms say what happens then, and how quickly.
